Railway:
The city is connected with the Metro city of Kolkata both by road and rail. Eastern Rail between Sealdah-Ranaghat-Gede, Sealdah-Krishnanagar-Bardhaman etc. connects Halisahar efficiently. The heart of Kolkata at Sealdah is only 1-hour rail journey at maximum from here. Nearest railway stations are Halisahar, Kanchrapara, Naihati and Garifa.
Road:
The Kalyani Expressway connecting Halisahar with Barrackpore at one side and Kalyani at the other. The Ghoshpara Road is the veins and arteries of the city which connects Kalyani at one side and Naihati, Bhatpara, Kankinara, Jagaddal and Shyamnagar on the other side. Bus route No. 85 run through Halisahar.
Ample autorickshaws are available connecting Halisahar with Naihati at one end and Kanchrapara at the other.
Ferry Service:
There is also a good ferry service available to connect Halisahar with Chandernagore, Chinsurah and the Dunlop factory on the other side of the Hooghly river.
